Hive Architecture is a boutique, client-focused practice dedicated to quality, clarity, and genuine collaboration. We are based on the Sunshine Coast working both locally and across Australia.
We’re driven by a passion for thoughtful design and a deep appreciation for the Australian lifestyle and local landscape. Our work centres on creating considered, design focused homes that promote wellness, feel effortless to live in, and quietly elevate day-to-day life.
We partner closely with clients to shape spaces that are refined, functional, and deeply connected to their way of living.
Principal Architect
Damian Goode
Damian is a registered Architect with more than 20 years of experience. Before establishing Hive Architecture in 2015, Damian built his career within several respected Australian practices, contributing to a broad range of residential, education, commercial and major sporting projects.
With a particular passion for mid-century modern design, Damian is inspired by clean lines, natural materials, and the effortless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. He believes in crafting homes that not only look beautiful, but feel grounded — celebrating light, warmth, texture and the unique personality of each site.
After years working on large-scale developments, Damian founded Hive Architecture to focus on what he values most: thoughtful, client-focused design and well-executed architecture. Driven by the belief that great design enhances wellbeing, he brings a human-centred mindset to every project — from passive design strategies and material selection to the functional details that enrich everyday living.
Client Testimonial
“It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to work with Damian on our renovation. First and foremost his enthusiasm was infectious. We had a few ideas going into the project but once Damian got involved we were blown away by the possibilities! As we progressed, it was inspiring to see how these dreams could be turned into a reality. Once we got down to the nitty gritty, Damian was on hand to help visualise every option. This was a critical part of the process. We were able to really visualise how far we had come and where we going. Finally, no question was ever too hard for Damian. He worked at 100% for us throughout the entire project and even today we still run things past him. He is always more than happy to provide his opinion.”
